Presentation of the International Awards – Statement in High Fidelity ⸜ Polish Edition 2025

This year’s awards go to:
• SV-Audio by Storgaard & Vestskov Frida – bookshelf loudspeakers
• Bladelius Oden Class-A II – Class A integrated amplifier

The Frida loudspeakers from SV-Audio by Storgaard & Vestskov had already amazed Hifistatement’s author Carsten Bussler at the HiFi 2024 show in Hamburg to such an extent that he stayed in the Danish company’s room for a long time, carefully listening to the demonstration — the speakers clearly defied their physical size. After spending more time with them in his own listening room, he concluded: “The Frida by SV-Audio by Storgaard & Vestskov is a compact, superbly crafted loudspeaker suitable for small and medium-sized listening spaces.”

High Fidelity’s choice is the integrated amplifier Oden Class-A II, the work of Mats Bladelius. I summed up my review with one word: naturalness. I would add amazing, perhaps even magnificent, and—if I let my enthusiasm flow—wonderful. It’s an amplifier that allows you to listen to music in incredible comfort, without ever feeling that anything is missing. The amount of detail, tonal nuance, and micro-shading it delivers is astonishing — all presented with refinement and ease.

Recorded over five decades ago and recently rediscovered in the archives of Polskie Radio, these songs may become the next great hits of Irena Santor. The album “Zakochana w śnie” (“In Love with a Dream”) will feature eight tracks recorded for Polskie Radio between 1973 and 1974. “I remember working with Ptaszyn and his wonderful musicians with deep emotion and pride! I learned so much from them! It was something completely different! The uniqueness of our jazz-inspired songs lay in the fact that no one expected me to sing jazz.
