Michał Salamon & Kev Fitzsimons
The Salamon & Fitzsimons project proves music knows no borders – melding classic indie with jazz. The duo is built on Fitzsimons’s now-rare deep baritone (à la Nick Cave/David Bowie) and Salamon’s subtle, economical piano.
Kev Fitzsimons, from Wellington, New Zealand and now based in Warsaw, has a rich career as a session vocalist and solo artist in the UK, collaborating with producers and artists such as Guy Massey (Ed Sheeran, Paul McCartney), Flight of the Conchords, Groove Armada, and Bruno Major.
Michał Salamon is a pianist, composer, arranger, lecturer, publisher, and producer; winner of the legendary Jazz Juniors competition and twice winner of the Jazz Phonographic Debut of the Year. He has performed at nearly a thousand concerts across Poland and Europe with FOURS Collective, Quindependence, and his own project Lion’s Gate, recorded at Leszek Możdżer’s studio in Wrocław.
